She's not looking, but watching.

Her face, turned inward, is bathed in a soft, peaceful light. The wings around her - fragments of an invisible dove - seem at once to protect, touch and bless her.

This is the last painting in the series, and it carries its fullness.

In it, the artist celebrates the moment when creation becomes fluid again, when gestures resume their place without restraint or censure.

The wings that brush the face recall the source of the newfound breath - the messengers, the first canvases, the intuition listened to.

She's a watchwatchwoman because she preciously guards the spark that has been rekindled. She watches over this new momentum, this new confidence, this freedom that the artist has finally given herself.
